Rayong’s first Royal Temple features remarkably outstanding and beautiful Buddhist architecture. Highlights include the Parileyyaka Vihara and the old ordination hall built in 1906, which showcases Rattanakosin-style architecture with a two-tiered roof adorned with Chofah and Bairaka (gable-apex finials and leaf-like tooth decorations). The pediment is gracefully decorated with Chinese-style stucco art. In addition to its magnificent architecture, Wat Pa Pradu is home to a 12-meter-long and 36-meter-high Reclining Buddha resting on its left side, a highly revered image among the people of Rayong.
