History & Background: Located at the intersection of Phang Nga Road and Phuket Road, this iconic building was constructed during the height of Phuket’s tin mining boom. It originally served as the Phuket Police Station. The building showcases classic Sino-Portuguese architecture, seamlessly blending Chinese and European design elements.
Significance: After the police station relocated, the building was restored and repainted in a vibrant mustard yellow with contrasting dark green shuttered windows. Today, it stands as a historic landmark and a favorite photo spot that captures the charm of old Phuket.
